Although the title of this website may not lead you to think so, I happen to be an avid reader. I believe that reading is a great way to expand your mind, and one of the best ways proven methods to become successful, which is exactly what I’m trying to do and document with this blog.
Books are good for so many things. A good book can be a great mentor in life. It can transfer wisdom and knowledge from the minds of others straight into your own. It can help you skip years of making your own mistakes by helping you learn from the mistakes of others who have been there, done that.
A good book can also be a great escape. It can transport you to far away lands, in worlds both real and fictional. It can expose you to things you may never get the chance to actually experience in your real life. Better still, it can create images and realities in your mind that lead you to actually go out there and take those dreams then and turn them into realities in your own life.
Because a good book can do all of these things, my reading list may have some choices that you wouldn’t expect. It isn’t all just books on fashion and fame, although there are some of those in there too.
My reading lists paints a picture of who I am as a person, and who I aim to become. All of the books below have had a big impact on who I am as a person. Because of that, I can’t recommend these books enough. I’m a big believer in reading on a regular basis, although I’m not quite at the goal of a book a day yet. However, if your someone who finds reading difficult, I’d recommend that you start by picking one of the books below and reading a chapter, or even just 10 pages a day. Give it time, and you’ll find that you’ll grow to love reading as much as I do.
So without further ado, here’s my reading list!
“Awaken the Giant Within” by Tony Robbins
“To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee
“Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill
“Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography” by Andrew Morton
“The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien
